These fire extinguisher markings conform to FDA recommendations contained in ASTM-2503-05 “Standard for Marking Medical Devices and Other Items for Safety in Magnetic Resonance Environments.” The rechargeable Badger MRI model B5V-2 MR offers safe equipment fire protection within magnetic resonance imaging system suites. It contains an insulated discharge horn for added operator safety. MRI model XL5 MR offers single-use compliance fire protection for occupancy AREAS OUTSIDE of magnetic resonance imaging suites.
