The Non-Magnetic single-use ABC Multipurpose Dry Chemical Fire Extinguisher is manufactured using special components. Under NFPA 10 requirements stored pressure disposable models do not require six year internal maintenance examinations. It has been independently tested and received the MR Conditional Rating.The rating recognizes this extinguisher has been tested in a 7-Tesla MR imaging system and was found to pose no magnetic safety hazards. Model XL5 MR extinguisher markings conform to new FDA recommendations contained in ASTM-2503-05“Standard for Marking Medical Devices and Other Items for Safety in Magnetic Resonance Environments. ” MRI Model XL5 MR offers single-use compliance fire protection for occupancy areas outside magnetic resonance imaging suites.
